Dr. Curtis Wegener is an expert in movement disorders and procedural neurology. He see patients at both Raleigh and Durham locations.
Dr. Wegener uses botulinum toxin to treat migraines, dystonia, drooling, spasticity, facial spasms and other conditions. He performs nerve blocks and trigger point injections for certain types of headaches. He also provides consultations for deep brain stimulation (DBS) and high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) for the treatment of movement disorders.
Beyond subspecialty care, Dr. Wegener enjoys the breadth of general neurology and creating thoughtful care plans with his patients.
Dr. Wegener graduated Summa Cum Laude from Vanderbilt University and next went to Tulane University School of Medicine graduating as a member of Alpha Omega Alpha and Gold Humanism Honor Society. He completed residency at Mass General Brigham at Harvard Medical School and graduated as the Senior Resident Teacher of the Year. He completed fellowship in Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders at Duke University before joining Raleigh Neurology in 2025.
