Born in Pakistan and raised in Saudi Arabia where Dr. Javed completed her undergraduate studies in science before returning to Pakistan to pursue her medical degree from King Edward Medical University. She completed her internship at Westchester medical Center, NY and her residency in adult neurology from Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston,SC and Westchester Medical Center,NY in 2016.
Dr. Javed then pursued an academic career as an assistant professor of neurology at the Brody school of medicine, East Carolina University in Greenville, NC for 6 years.
She later pursued a fellowship in Neuroimmunology at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
Her primary interests are various autoimmune neurological diseases including but not limited to multiple sclerosis, neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorders and neurosarcoidosis.
In her free time she likes to travel and spend quality time with her family.
