EEG Monitoring

EEG Monitoring is a diagnostic study lasting more than 2 hours in which the patient has an extended EEG recording. Video recording may also be included.

Before the procedure:

• Wash hair your night before, leaving no hair spray, gels, oils, or hair weaves.
• Eat and take medication as usual (unless instructed otherwise).
• No caffeine 8 hours prior to the test to encourage sleep.
• Stay up late the night before the test, and get up early the day of the test.
