T. Scott Binford, PA-C

Licensed by the NC Board of Medical Examiners and board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, Scott Binford received a master of medical science from Emory University in Atlanta in 1996. After relocating to North Raleigh in 1996, Scott accepted a position with a local neurosurgical practice and has been with Raleigh Neurology since 2002. Scott completed a BS in biology at Montevallo University and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the NC Academy of Physician Assistants and the AAN. He enjoys spending time with his daughter and outdoor sports including soccer, volleyball and boating on the North Carolina Intracoastal Waterway.

Eric Kirch , PA-C

Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Eric  Kirch graduated magna cum laude from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where he majored in biology and psychology. A graduate of the Philadelphia University Physician Assistant program in 2000, he has extensive experience in outpatient headache and chronic pain management. He enjoys a variety of sports in his free time along with being a fervent Steelers fan.

Wanda Cecil, CPNP

Certified pediatric nurse practitioner Wanda Cecil completed her master's degrees in epidemiology and maternal child health from UNC-CH School of Public Health, and a master's degree in nursing/pediatric nurse practitioner from Duke University. Wanda earned a post-master's certificate in Pediatric Acute Care from Duke University. She completed her residency training at WakeMed Pediatric services inpatient and outpatient as well as post master's residency at Duke Medical Center PICU. Wanda joined RNA in 2001 and lives in Zebulon with husband Walt with their two daughters.

Theresa Keiser, RN, MSN, FNP-BC

Originally from upstate New York, Theresa Keiser received her BS in medical technology from St. Bonaventure University in 1991 and practiced as a clinical microbiologist for several years in Rochester, New York. She attended St. John Fisher College, receiving her BSN in 1998 and her MSN in the Family Nurse Practitioner program in 2001. Board certified through the ANCC as a Family Nurse Practitioner, and is a member of the AAN. Theresa has lived in Raleigh since 2002 and joined RNA in 2004.

Karen Riley, MSN, FNP-BC

Originally a native of New Jersey, Karen received her BS in nursing from Widener University in Chester Pa. in 1977. Prior to completing her Masters Degree in Nursing at UNC Chapel Hill in 2000, she gained extensive experience in cardiology, intensive care, trauma and emergency medicine. She is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner, is a member of the AAN and has spent five years in family practice. Karen joined RNA in October of 2005. She presently lives in Garner with her husband.

Kelly Pate, MSN, FNP-BC

A native of Raleigh, NC, Kelly Pate received her undergraduate degree from NC State University in 1997. She worked in clinical research and ophthalmology before pursuing a career as a nurse practitioner. She earned a BS degree in nursing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and then graduated from Vanderbilt University with her Master's Degree in Nursing. She is a board certified family nurse practitioner, having worked in family practice for several years before joining RNA in 2005. Kelly lives in the Triangle with her family.

Holly A. Starnes, RN, MSN, FNP- C

Originally from the Outer Banks of North Carolina, Holly received her BSN from East Carolina University in 2002 and has worked as a critical care nurse in medical and surgical intensive care. She attended East Carolina University and received her MSN in the Family Nurse Practitioner Program in 2007. Board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner with AANP, Holly is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, Phi Kappa Phi, and Omicron Delta Kappa. She enjoys playing tennis, fishing, and spending time with her nephew, Cole. Holly lives in Raleigh with her husband, Emmett.

Nora Schuette, PA-C

Nora is a nationally certified and licensed physician assistant. She is originally from Chicago, IL and completed her undergraduate education at Northwestern University, graduating with her BA in 2001. Upon graduation, she attended UNC-Chapel Hill for her Master’s in Social Work degree. After working as a health social worker, she went back to school and obtained her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from Mercy College in 2006. She has previously worked with intractable epilepsy patients at a tertiary care center. She now lives in Cary with her husband and their puppy.

Edie Ferris , AuD, Doctor of Audiology

Dr. Ferris holds the Clinical Certificate of Competency from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology (AAA). She received her master’s degree in Communication Disorders from the University of Texas at Dallas and her Doctorate in Audiology from Salus University. Practicing as an audiologist since 2000, Edith specializes in Vestibular Disorders and has a strong interest in Tinnitus treatment. She offers comprehensive hearing evaluations, Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR) testing, Videonystagmography (VNG), Vestibular Evoked Myogenic Potentials (VEMP) and Computerized Dynamic Posturography (CDP).   Edie lives with her dog in Holly Springs.

Jessica Yeganian, M.A., CCC-SLP

Jessica Yeganian graduated from University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology. She has extensive experience working with a variety of neurological and developmental disorders. Jessica specializes in the evaluation and treatment of speech, language, voice and fluency disorders with particular specialties in the areas of pediatric and adult swallowing disorders, apraxia of speech, autism, and augmentative communication disorders. Jessica’s additional certifications include Lee Silverman Voice Therapy, Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing and Nueromuscular Electrical Stimulation for swallowing. She is a board member of the North Carolina Augmentative Communication Association and has extensive experience in the evaluation and implementation of augmentative communication systems for all ages.

Amy Gonzales, PA-C

Born and raised in Buffalo, NY, Amy graduated from D'Youville College with a Bachelor in Science in Physician Assistant studies. She was also a registered echocardiographer for several years. Amy has recently relocated to the area with her daughter. Amy enjoys spending time with her family as well as going to the beach.

Jaya Reddy, PA-C

Born in India and raised in Pennsylvania, Jaya is nationally certified and licensed by the North Carolina Medical Board. She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a major in biology and completed her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies from Chatham College in 1998. Prior to joining Raleigh Neurology Jaya worked for a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation practice for 10 years.

P.J. Feinson, MS, FNP

P.J. Feinson is a native of Arlington, Virginia.  She attended Mary Washington College (now the University of Mary Washington) in Fredericksburg, Virginia, and received her Bachelor's degree from the School of Nursing, Medical College of Virginia/VCU in 1975.  She worked in various outpatient settings, both full- and part-time, until getting her Master's degree in the Family Nurse Practitioner program from Rivier College, Nashua, NH, in 1998. Since getting her Master's, she has worked in several subspecialty settings, including pulmonology, endocrinology, and in-patient diabetes management.  She is nationally certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the ANCC since August of 1998.  Although certified in Family, she limits her practice to adult patient populations.  She lives with her family in Raleigh, and enjoys curling, skiing, hiking, Zumba, and Hip Hop Hustle.  What she enjoys most about Raleigh Neurology is the collegiality here, and she learns something new every day from Dr. Keith Hull.

Olivia “Libby” Queern, MSN, RN, FNP

Olivia Queern relocated to North Carolina from Northern Virginia in 1995 to study at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  She graduated with her BSN in 1998 and her MSN in 2008.  She is a licensed Family Nurse Practitioner, a member of the NCBON, ANA, and AASM.  She joined Raleigh Neurology in September 2009 to work in the Sleep Medicine Program with Dr. Tom Perkins.  Olivia currently lives in Durham, and she says her favorite color is Carolina blue!

          Maureen Gonzales, MS, CPNP

Maureen Gonzales was raised in Alexandria, Virginia and earned a BSN from the University of Virginia in 1974. After 3 years as a nurse in the US Navy and work in Pediatric ICU and Community Health she returned to school to earn a Master of Science in Nursing at Brigham Young University. She has maintained certification with the National Board of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and Associates since 1987. Maureen practiced in a variety of Pediatric settings and has spent the last 15 years practicing in Developmental Pediatrics. She enjoys evaluating and treating children and adolescents with a variety of developmental disabilities and has developed a special interest in ADHD. Maureen moved to Durham in 2010 to be closer to family and is enjoying life in the Triangle.

A native of North Carolina, Stacy Queen received her undergraduate degree from UNC Wilmington and has worked at UNC Chapel Hill in neurology, neurosurgery and ear, nose & throat surgery. She pursued a graduate degree in nursing at East Carolina University and completed the MSN program in 2010. Stacy is a board certified Adult Nurse Practitioner and a member of the ANA. She lives in Holly Springs with her husband.

  Kristi Phillips M.S., CCC-SLP

Kristi Phillips graduated from UNC Chapel Hill with a B.S. in Speech Communications and received a master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from East Carolina University in 1996. She works with children and adults with a variety of neurological and developmental disorders including autism, seizure disorder, traumatic brain injury, stroke, cerebral palsy, and Parkinson Disease. Kristi specializes in evaluation and treatment of a variety of pediatric communication impairments including articulation disorders, receptive and expressive language disorders, and apraxia of speech. She also specializes in the implementation of augmentative communication. Kristi provides speech therapy for adults and specializes in the evaluation and treatment of motor speech impairments, aphasia, dysphagia, and voice impairments. She is certified in Lee Silverman Voice Treatment and VitalStim Therapy. Kristi lives in Raleigh with her husband and three children.

      Cara Amos, MSN, ANP

Originally born and raised in Raleigh, NC, Cara received her BSN at East Carolina University (ECU) in 2005. Upon graduation from ECU in 2005, Cara and her husband moved to Houston, Texas, where she worked as a nurse at MD Anderson Cancer Center on a Urology and Orthopedic Surgery floor. After the birth of their first child, Cara and her husband moved back to the east coast to be closer to family. Cara gained experience in the areas of cardiology, gastroenterology, and radiology nursing with her most recent job as a radiology nurse at the University of North Carolina before graduating from the ECU Nurse Practitioner program. Cara completed the Adult Nurse Practitioner program at ECU in July of 2011. She is an ANCC Board Certified, Adult Nurse Practitioner. She lives in Raleigh with her husband, Josh, and two children, Luke and Sadie. She enjoys outdoor activities with her family, traveling and cooking.
