Meet the Physicians

Originally from Charleston, South Carolina, Dr. Robottom received a BS in Anthropology, magna cum laude, from the College of Charleston Honors Program. He then earned an MD from the Medical University of South Carolina. From 2004 to 2008, Dr. Robottom completed an internal medicine internship and neurology residency at the University of Maryland Medical Systems where he was recognized as Chief Resident of the program.  He then completed a movement disorders fellowship at the University Of Maryland School Of Medicine, where he received extensive training in the management of Parkinson's disease and tremor disorders. In 2009, Dr. Robottom was appointed to the faculty at the University Of Maryland School Of Medicine.  He practices general neurology with special interest in the use of botulinum toxin (Botox®) for neurological disorders and deep brain stimulation for Parkinson’s disease and essential tremor.  He is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and the Movement Disorders Society.  Dr. Robottom was honored with the Arnold P. Gold Humanism Award in 2007.
