T. Scott Binford, PA-C

Licensed by the NC Board of Medical Examiners and board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, Scott Binford received a master of medical science from Emory University in Atlanta in 1996. After relocating to North Raleigh in 1996, Scott accepted a position with a local neurosurgical practice and has been with Raleigh Neurology since 2002. Scott completed a BS in biology at Montevallo University and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the NC Academy of Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Neurology. He enjoys spending time with his daughter and outdoor sports including soccer, volleyball and boating on the North Carolina Intracoastal Waterway.

bingaman

Beth Bingaman, FNP-C

Beth was born and raised in central Pennsylvania. She earned her BSN degree at Pennsylvania State University in 2010. After graduation, she moved to Austin, Texas and worked as a RN on an acute care neurology-oncology unit. She earned her MSN degree from University of Texas in 2015. Beth is board-certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She recently relocated to Raleigh with her husband and 3 pets. She loves spending time outdoors, running, cycling and live music.

Stacey Carroll, MSN, ANP

A native of North Carolina, Stacey received her BSN from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2001. She has over 11 years of experience in neurosciences and critical care nursing. Stacey completed her MSN at East Carolina University in 2012 and is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She is a member of the American Nurses Association and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She lives in Raleigh with her husband and two children.

Kelsie Cato, PA-C

Originally from Augusta, Georgia, Kelsie received her Master’s of Science in Physician Assistant studies in 2009 from the Medical College of Georgia. She is NCCPA board certified and has worked in Neurosurgery as well as inpatient Neurology. She has relocated to Raleigh from the Orlando, FL area in early 2015 with her husband and three children. She enjoys watching movies, seeing new places, and spending time with her family.

Laurie Dunne, PA

Laurie is a native of Pittsburgh. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Dayton in Ohio and her Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Albany Medical College in New York. Prior to joining Raleigh Neurology, Laurie was part of a medical team comprised of physicians and advanced practitioners delivering care to a community in Clifton Park, NY. Laurie currently resides in Cary and enjoys exploring her new city of Raleigh with her husband and 2 boys.

Edie Ferris, AuD, Doctor of Audiology

Dr. Ferris holds the Clinical Certificate of Competency from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology (AAA). She received her master’s degree in Communication Disorders from the University of Texas at Dallas and her Doctorate in Audiology from Salus University. Practicing as an audiologist since 2000, Edith specializes in Vestibular Disorders and has a strong interest in Tinnitus treatment. She offers comprehensive hearing evaluations, Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR) testing, Videonystagmography (VNG), Vestibular Evoked Myogenic Potentials (VEMP) and Computerized Dynamic Posturography (CDP). Edie lives with her dog in Holly Springs.

Reham Ghali, PA-C 

Reham grew up in North Carolina and received her undergraduate degree in biology and chemistry from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She was a research scientist at GlaxoSmithKline and Grifols prior to receiving her Master of Physician Assistant Practice from Campbell University.  She is NCCPA board-certified. When she is away from work, she stays busy with her husband and two children. She enjoys traveling in her free time..

Maureen Gonzales, MS, CPNP

Maureen Gonzales was raised in Alexandria, Virginia and earned a BSN from the University of Virginia in 1974. After 3 years as a nurse in the US Navy and work in Pediatric ICU and Community Health she returned to school to earn a Master of Science in Nursing at Brigham Young University. She has maintained certification with the National Board of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and Associates since 1987. Maureen practiced in a variety of Pediatric settings and has spent the last 15 years practicing in Developmental Pediatrics. She enjoys evaluating and treating children and adolescents with a variety of developmental disabilities and has developed a special interest in ADHD. Maureen moved to Durham in 2010 to be closer to family and is enjoying life in the Triangle.

Suzanne Hartmann, ACNP-BC

Suzanne grew up in Virginia. She attended the University of Virginia and obtained a BSN in 2002. She practiced as an adult critical care nurse until she returned to UVA to obtain her MSN in 2012. She is certified as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurse’s Credentialing Center. Suzanne is a coffee enthusiast who enjoys traveling to visit family.

Candace Jackson Moody, PA-C

Candace was born and raised in Mount Airy, North Carolina. She received her undergraduate degree from North Carolina State University. She is NCCPA board certified and earned her Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies in 2015 from East Carolina University. She gained valuable experience throughout her extensive medical training in Greenville, NC, including her neurosurgical experience assisting in several brain and spinal surgeries. She also has also gained experience working in pain management, using such treatment options as epidural spinal injections, trigger point injections, physical therapy, and surgical intervention. On a more personal level, she enjoys playing the piano, playing tennis, scuba diving, and snow skiing.

Virginia “Ginger” Jethro, PA-C

Ginger is a native of Melbourne, FL. She moved to North Carolina in 1995 after receiving a volleyball scholarship to Lenoir-Rhyne College. Upon completion of her BS degree, she began studies at the Wake Forest University School of Medicine Physician Assistant Program, where she graduated with Academic Distinction in 2003. After graduation, Ginger initially practiced family medicine, but eventually moved on to Neurology, and has been practicing in this field since 2005. She lives in Wake Forest with her husband and son. They enjoy watching NFL football as a family, especially the Miami Dolphins and Denver Broncos.

Kristin Jones, PA-C

Kristin is native to North Carolina.  She received her undergraduate degrees in Biology and Literature from North Carolina State University.  She is NCCPA board certified and earned her Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies in 2017 from Boston University School of Medicine.  She gained valuable experience throughout her extensive medical training in Boston, MA, to include inpatient and outpatient Neurology services.  Her Physician Assistant Studies also included a thesis which focused on cultural considerations in acute stroke care.  Kristin currently resides in Raleigh and enjoys running, traveling, reading, and college basketball.

Eric Kirch, PA-C

Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Eric Kirch graduated magna cum laude from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where he majored in biology and psychology. A graduate of the Philadelphia University Physician Assistant program in 2000, he has extensive experience in outpatient headache and chronic pain management. He enjoys a variety of sports in his free time along with being a fervent Steelers fan.

Harry Lay, FNP-BC

Harry is a native of Georgia and relocated to the Triangle in 2008. He earned his undergraduate degree from the Medical College of Georgia and his Masters of Nursing from the Medical University of South Carolina. Prior to joining Raleigh Neurology, Harry was a Nurse Practitioner at The Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center at Duke. Harry currently resides in Durham and enjoys spending time with his wife, watching sci-fi, and playing guitar.

Coming Soon!  Carrie Lewis,  RN, MSN, CPNP, CPHON

Carrie was born and raised in the Detroit, Michigan area and moved to NC in 1998.  Before becoming a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, she worked as an RN for 10 years in the Pediatric ICU and with pediatric oncology patients.  She received her Masters of Science, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner from Duke University in 2002 and has experience in pediatric primary  care offices, pediatric oncology, and pediatric urgent care.  She returned to school for a Post-Master’s degree in Acute Care Pediatrics at Emory University to combine her love of taking care of children in both the office and hospital setting, and will graduate in December 2018.    Carrie is looking forward to caring for children with neurological disorders,  and partnering with their parents to provide excellent, comprehensive care of the child in all aspects. 

 In her spare time, Carrie is a huge Carolina Hurricanes fan and has been a Season Ticket Holder for 10 years.  She shares her love of animals by bringing her therapy dog, Abbey (Golden Retriever) to visit children in schools and libraries.

Jan Lowery, PA-C

Jan Lowery is a native of Virginia. She received a Master of Science in Physician Assistant studies in 2011 from South University in Savannah, Georgia, and she moved to North Carolina in 2012. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and licensed by the North Carolina Medical Board. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, and she has previous experience in interventional pain management. She joined Raleigh Neurology’s Pain Clinic in 2015.

Liz Marshall, ANP

Liz grew up in Southeastern North Carolina and received her undergraduate degree from The University of North Carolina at Pembroke in 2008. In 2012, she graduated Suma Cum Laude from Duke University with a Master of Science in Nursing. She is certified as an Adult Nurse Practitioner through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Prior to coming to Raleigh Neurology, she spent six years working in the Perioperative Services Department at Duke. She has special clinical interest in general neurology, headaches and back pain. When she is away from work, she stays busy with her husband and three small children.

Thinh Nguyen, FNP

Thinh Nguyen was born in Vietnam and relocated to the States at age 4, where he was raised in Virginia. He graduated with a dual-degree of a BS in Psychology and a BS in Science in 2009 from the Virginia Commonwealth University in 2009. Thinh graduated from VCU’s Accelerated BS program and received his BS in Nursing in 2010 and practiced as a RN on the Acute Neuroscience Unit of the VCU Health System. He graduated from the Family Nurse Practitioner program and received his MSN from Georgetown University in 2014. Thinh is a board-certified FNP through the AANP and is a member of Psi Chi, Sigma Theta Tau, and the AANP. He enjoys soccer and table tennis, as well as spending time with his wife and their two dogs.

Denise Poland-Torres, PA-C

Denise grew up in Eastern North Carolina where she has devoted most of her 20 year career to helping its citizens.  She received her undergraduate degree from Greensboro College and received her PA degree from the Wake Forest School of Medicine Physician Assistant Program.  Denise comes to RNA with extensive knowledge from a disease management clinic.  When she is not at work, she enjoys cooking, traveling, exercising, concerts, and spending quality time with her son and husband.

Jaya Reddy, PA-C

Originally from India, Jaya moved to the United States and earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania and her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies from Chatham College in Pittsburgh, PA. Prior to joining Raleigh Neurology, Jaya worked as part of medical care teams delivering care in practices located in North Carolina and Texas.

Gretchen Reichmann, MSN, FNP-BC

Gretchen was born and raised in Ohio.  She received her Bachelor’s in Nursing at Indiana University and moved to Chicago, Illinois to complete her Master’s in Nursing at Resurrection University.  Gretchen is ANCC Board Certified and has worked within Pain Management since completion of her Master’s degree in 2015.  She lives in the Raleigh area along with her husband and their dog.  While away from work, she enjoys cooking, traveling, snow skiing, biking, and cheering on her Indiana Hoosiers.

Originally from the Outer Banks of North Carolina, Holly received her BSN from East Carolina University in 2002 and has worked as a critical care nurse in medical and surgical intensive care. Board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner with AANP, Holly is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, Phi Kappa Phi, and Omicron Delta Kappa. Jill is a native of Canton, Ohio.  She completed her undergraduate degree at The Ohio State University prior to serving with the AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps. She earned a Master of Science degree from Duke University and is certified as an Adult Nurse Practitioner through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Prior to joining Raleigh Neurology, she worked in Neuro-Oncology at Duke University.  Jill is a busy mom of three. She enjoys running, biking, and rooting for the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Susannah White, PA-C

Susannah is native to North Carolina.
